Open Question: How many calories do you all think I could lose doing this workout?
I weigh 240 pounds,5′9 17 years of age and i’m currently trying to reach 200-210 pounds. I’m drinking plenty of water,eating balanced low fat foods. Anyways how many calories could be lost in this workout 30 pushups,50 crunches, 30 leg raises, Lifting dumbells/ arm curls, and 25 squats with no weights. Also i have lower back issues when i carry boxes or walk on stairs; is there anyway i can strengthen my lower back? I so not have any equipment except for the dumbell, I do not want any other equipment besides that. :p And one more thing are jumping jacks worth doing; how many calories could i probally lose doing 50 with my current weight; and will the jumping jacks effect my back as in make it worse? Thanks to anyone who helps me out

Open Question: My wife’s attitude has changed since she lost weight?
I have been married 10 years. My wife has always been heavy and I accepted that. When I married her she was about 220 lb – about 80-90 overweight. I can’t say I liked it, but I accepted it. I never ever nagged her to lose weight, except after about 6 years of marriage she reached up to about 260 and I expressed concern about what this would mean for her health long term. She dropped about to around 220-230 and has been there until recently.
2 years ago she told me that she’d had it with being fat and asked me to help her with dropping the weight. I prepare all the food in the house so yes I needed to be involved. We developed a plan and she dropped 95 lb in 14 months and is back to what she was as a teenager. She’s still toning some of her skin back, so she’s not exactly bikini-ready, but she’s looking better every day. Every health and fatigue issue she was having is gone. I am so very happy for her and also for me – since I think my beautiful wife is now even more beautiful.
However, in the last few months she has taken a negative attitude about the attention I give her. Sort of a “you’re only interested in me because I’m hotter now” stance. I guess I might be a little – but I always paid tons of attention to her before and we always had an excellent sex life.
It’s getting worse. She’s not starving and her hormone levels are all cool. In other areas of her life she’s happier than ever.
What do I do? I think I might rather have my fat happy wife back than have my slim cranky one.

Open Question: 10 year old having surgery to lose weight?
Do you think it`s too young to have this done, the parents say he didn`t eat much but as they were 26 and 24 stone before having surgery themselves how do they know what is a small amount or not, they must have eaten a vast amount to get to that size, they had no medical problem as an excuse as they say for the 10 yr old, I have an under active thyroid and take medication, i am a bit overweight and will be on a diet for the rest of my life, I think people will eat huge amounts to get fat then expect an operation on the NHS
